Tecnologia Israelense ajuda aferir número de manifestantes

O Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) decidiu usar nova ferramenta para estimar o número de manifestantes presentes ao protesto do dia 13 de março, na Avenida Paulista.

Tecnologia de ponta chamada SmartLok, desenvolvida pela empresa Israelense StoreSmarts, permitiu que MBL fizesse  uma varredura sobre a multidão das passeatas para aferir o número de manifestantes.

A ferramenta foi usada a partir de uma antena ligada em um computador, a tecnologia emitiu um sinal de frequência que reconheceu celulares que estavam com o Wi-Fi ligado. Vários computadores com antenas foram utilizados para abranger o local aonde estava acontecendo o protesto.

Ao mesmo tempo, militantes do MBL entrevistaram pelo menos 15 mil manifestantes para ter a proporção dos que portavam smartphone com Wi-Fi ligado. Assim, cruzando-se os números obtidos pela ferramenta com a proporção de manifestantes conectados por Wi-Fi, conseguiram chegar a um número de manifestantes ali presentes de 1,4 milhões de pessoas.

Eis um bom caminho: em vez de ficar batendo boca com critérios muitas vezes etéreos, o MBL busca o apuro tecnológico.
