About

The Chamber

The Brazil Israel Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, public benefit entity that has been operating for 60+ years, promoting economic and commercial relations between Brazil and Israel.

Our membership base represents diverse business sectors and our vision is focused on fostering bilateral exchange. To that end, we bridge the gap between institutions and companies interested in knowing and getting closer to Israel and Brazil.

By promoting trade missions and enabling participation in fairs and exhibitions, the Chamber aims to overcome the geographical and cultural distance of the countries. We constantly carry out events and activities that allow our members to expand their connections and have access to privileged information, fostering an active business environment, creating opportunities for business and partnerships.

History

Israel’s then Minister of Finance, Pinchas Sapir, Senator Apolônio Salles and the Governor of the State of São Paulo, Lucas Nogueira Garcez, attended the ceremony for the creation of the Brazil-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on April 15, 1959. The initiative was lead by Max Perlman and honorary consul Leon Feffer, representing a group of 60 dedicated entrepreneurs.

The successive boards have worked to encourage commercial, industrial, technological, academic, cultural and tourism contacts between Brazil and Israel, contributing to the development of the mutual interests of the countries.

Message from the President

I am assuming the presidency of the Brazil-Israel Chamber with the commitment to continue the legacy of more than six decades of strengthening trade and cultural relations between Brazil and Israel. Our purpose is to renew the entity with initiatives that further stimulate the exchange of technologies, entrepreneurship and innovation, promoting business missions and expanding dialogue between the two countries, especially in the areas of health, agribusiness, cybersecurity and education.

We also want to strengthen the work of our regional offices in Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Pernambuco, Amazonas and Mato Grosso, expanding the Chamber’s presence and creating new business opportunities in different regions of the country.

We know that we are living in challenging times, but we also believe that moments of crisis open space for innovation and growth. With the support of our directors, advisors and associates — a true dream team — I am confident that we will be able to join forces and accelerate trade and technological ties between Brazil and Israel, inspired by the resilient and transformative spirit that unites our nations.
