Amazon Tech – event to showcase Israeli technologies for the sustainable development of the region

Initiative organized by the Brazil – Israel Chamber will mark the inauguration of the BRIL Chamber regional office in Amazonas with the participation of Vice President Hamilton Mourão and the Israeli Ambassador to Brazil, Yossi Shelley.

Innovations from Israel arriving in Brazil will be presented first hand, such as: solutions that record the productivity and health of each tree (a kind of tree waze), technologies that use satellite images and artificial intelligence to increase productivity in forestry, agriculture and mining, drones to prevent fires and technology for the development of new medicines in space.

Amazon Tech, will be the first international event in a series of BRIL Think Tank discussions to address themes of binational interest and will feature three panels.

The “Environment in the Vision of the largest Brazilian companies” panel will bring together large companies such as Suzano, Itaú-Unibanco, O Boticário and will address ESG and its actions in environmental preservation and related to the Amazon.

The political scientist and founder of the Igarapé Institute, Ilona Szabó, will lead the panel “Sustainable Amazon: Thought and action”, with the participation of Denis Benchimol Minev (Fundação Amazonia Sustentável – FAS), Prof. Jacques Marcovitch and Mariano Cenamo (Institute for Sustainable Development of the Amazon – IDESAM).

The panel on “Israeli Technologies” will be divided into three important themes – Biodiversity, Safety and Health – and will be led by the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of Amazonas – Tatiana Schor, and the participation of specialists and companies from unprecedented Israeli technologies.
